Volunteer

Volunteers with a passion for mentoring youth are the backbone of the Power of Hope experience. Their dedication and compassion are a large part of what makes our programs possible. Volunteer roles at Power of Hope camp:

We work with both professional artists and non-professional artists from diverse backgrounds and skill areas, for the purpose of giving youth a chance to flourish within a supportive, arts-based community. If you have an interest in exploring your creativity and/or sharing your expertise in a particular art fom, we would love to have you. And if you are looking to expand your skills and get experiential training in using arts with communities, Power of Hope camp can be an intensive and powerful incubator.

At camp, volunteers help create a fun, supportive atmosphere where everyone’s voice is respected. Many volunteers have testified to the transformative experience of working with the Power of Hope.

In addition to our summer camp volunteer openings, we also have volunteer opportunities during the school year. Volunteers may help out at shorter workshops during the year — for example, volunteering with our GEAR UP programs is a great way to get involved as we offer GEAR UP programs year-round. In addition, we welcome volunteers to assist administratively  in the office.
