DECEMBER 2007
Year-End "Wrap"

From Michael Harris, executive director:
We've had a landmark year, thanks to all of you. 3,500 youth participated in our programs, 1,500 adults were trained in POH arts-based techniques, Charlie and Peggy are expanding opportunities for youth empowerment world-wide - and Power of Hope is about to enter its 13th year! All of this was made possible by over 200 volunteers contributing 32,000 hours, and by our many generous donors. Speaking of which ....

THERE's STILL TIME...
DONATE NOW to POH's ANNUAL FUND!!

Thanks to all who have donated so far. We're trying to raise money ahead of time (for a change) to fund Hip Hop Hope in Canada and the USA - and build a healthy scholarship fund for Summer 2008. Help POH end 2007 ahead of the budget!

Alan Wong is our Seattle-based program manager, who is on temporary educational leave. One of the goals of Alan's journey is to learn Spanish, which will exponentially help his work with the University of Washington's "Two Valleys, One Vision" GEAR UP program in the Yakima and Skagit Valleys.
